As in Japan, Singapore has been seeing a rapid pace of graying population and low birth rate. However, unlike the Japanese counterparts, Singaporeans seem more eager to adapt recent digitized solutions in healthcare domains, where this population shift hits the society most.
Sure there are growing numbers of new technologies and solutions in Japan, too, but it looks that in Singapore the governmental and non-profit sectors are much more motivated to embrace the technology, by changing the old policies and regulations to accommodate the new. Where we need to find innovations most is in rather non-profit sections like healthcare and education.
