On July 23, I participated in a webinar titled “Digital transformation: making a difference to primary and respiratory care” as part of a webinar series hosted by UMeHU (Universiti Malaya eHealth Unit) at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya, my previous workplace. The lecturer was Dr. Hilary Pinnock. As a specialist in respiratory medicine, she leads numerous digital health research projects related to respiratory medicine at the University of Edinburgh Medical School, and her on-site reports, including the challenges involved, were highly informative. Thank you very much, Hilary!
The University of Edinburgh Medical School and the University of Malaya have been collaborating on an international research project called “RESPIRE” (NIHR Global Health Research Unit on Respiratory Health; https://usher.ed.ac.uk/respire) for several years, and I have been involved as a member since before I started working at UM. I remember that I met with the outstanding researchers from the University of Edinburgh back at UM and had a good conversation.
Although I am now affiliated with the Faculty of Business Administration rather than the Faculty of Medicine, this is one of the medical projects I continue to be involved in through UM. I hope to continue contributing, even if only in a small way, and would also like to visit the University of Edinburgh someday soon.
去る7月23日に、私の古巣であるマラヤ大学(UM)医学部、UMeHU(eHealth Unit)が主催するwebinarの一環で、「Digital transformation: making a difference to primary and respiratory care」と題する講義が行われたので参加。
