On the 29th of the leap year, we had a stakeholder engagement meeting (so called focus group) with patients with chronic asthma, who are the intended users of a smartphone app that is currently being developed by our mixed team of the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Computer Science at the University of Malaya. We exchanged ideas and feedback while seeing the mock-up of the app. It ran from 9:00 to 12:00, for three hours straight. Thanks much for your cooperation!

This project is a development case related to the RESPIRE project ( https://www.ed.ac.uk/usher/respire ), a long-term collaboration with the University of Edinburgh. Our team aims to improve the quality of life of patients with chronic asthma by helping them take preventive actions with information from the app that utilizes air quality/weather forecast information.

うるう年の29日は、現在マラヤ大の医学部-コンピュータサイエンス学部の混成チームで開発を行っているスマホアプリの開発のため、利用者として想定する慢性喘息の患者さんに集まってモックアップを見て意見を言ってもらうフォーカスグループ会議を行いました。9時から12時過ぎまで3時間びっちりと。

本プロジェクトは、エディンバラ大学との長期にわたる共同研究「RESPIRE」プロジェクト（ https://www.ed.ac.uk/usher/respire ）に関する開発案件です。慢性喘息の患者さんが、大気汚染および天気予報情報を活用したアプリからの情報を用いて予防的に行動することで、彼らのQOL向上を狙っています。
