【mtg】a new clinical registry project in primary care

I had a fruitful discussion with two doctors at RUKA of PPUM (University Malaya Medical Center) this morning. They are both primary care doctors who want to create a clinical registry, and one of my colleagues had referred me to them. The doctors’ interest is to create a registry that can address them more customized interest, especially for the follow-up of particular patients, that they cannot do with the current EMR system.

I provided them my expertise I gained when I was on similar projects back in Japan. We carefully thought over a few realistic scenarios with the current resources, given some background, internal knowledge of Faculty-Hospital politics (well, anywhere, you know). We spent a good chunk of 2 hours. It is a bit of challenge for myself as I have more experience in surgery rather than internal medicine. So what? Bring it on, man.
